Ariel Parkington
violin, viola and trad. fiddle

Welcome to Ariel's homepage at the Red BarnAriel Parkington grew up in a wildly musical household in Wellfleet, with five sisters playing music in every room. Now, she and her sisters perform in The Parkington Sisters string band, touring the world on weekends.

Ariel has two Master's degrees, in Violin (University of Arizona) and Chamber Music (University of South Florida), with a BM from Boston University. She is also a trained, certified Suzuki instructor. Formerly, Ariel taught classroom strings in the Tucson school district. She currently teaches strings and chamber music at Deerfield Academy.

Ariel teaches both violin, viola, and traditional 'fiddle'. She is a caring, enthusiastic teacher, and her energy is contagious. Whether your child is just starting, or you want to expand your own playing into new areas, she has the patience and experience to help guide you.

Ariel will be happy to meet with you for a try-out lesson, and you are welcome to come to the studio and observe a lesson. Give us a call at 413-256-8899 or .
