Emily Morin, Piano in concert Sunday, Sept 13

Please join me in welcoming Emily Morin to the Red Barn family. Emily will play the music of Beethoven and Scriabin and more for our Second Sunday Concert Series at the UU Meetinghouse, 121 N Pleasant St in Amherst starting at 2 PM. Pre-K classes with Nancy Nesheim start Sept 16

Everybody Makes Music! Songs and dances and instruments get the child involved in music making from day one. The instrument kit includes a book & CD with activities you can do together at home.

The Red Barn Music School is proud to offer this dynamic, progressive, and developmentally appropriate program based on Lynn Kleiner's Music Rhapsody.

Nancy Nesheim has a BS in Child Development from Cornell University, and BA and MA degrees in Music from UMass. Nancy taught elementary music for 16 years at South Hadley’s Mosier School.

Classes are held at Immanuel Church, 867 N. Pleasant St, Amherst

Kevin Collins Guitar LessonsKevin Collins - GUITAR

Kevin is a graduate of the Hartt School of Music in Classical Guitar. In New York, he appeared at Windows on the World in the World Trade Center and at The Rainbow Room. Formerly, Kevin was Guitar Faculty at the University of Massachusetts Performing Arts Division. You can still visit his Guitar at UMass website. Kevin teaches acoustic and electric guitar and uses songs to introduce you to music theory.

Ariel has two Masters degrees, in Chamber Music and in Violin Performance. She is a fully Certified Suzuki Instructor. Ariel is currently on the music faculty at Deerfield Academy. A graduate of Providence College (B.A. in piano performance), Emily has enjoyed performing in a variety of settings, including solo recitals, master classes, chamber ensembles, choirs, and competitions.  She also regularly accompanies church services on both the piano and the organ.  Emily is eager to share her love of the piano with others.  She teaches students of all ages the fundamentals of piano playing along with music theory, always focusing on the needs and goals of each student.

Reneé is a K-12 certified music teacher and teaches in the Berkshire Schools. She completed her Masters in Flute Performance at the University of Houston, graduating Summa Cum Laude, with a secondary major in Voice. She performs with her husband, composer and pianist David Mosher in the duo Imagine Music. Renee teaches flute and voice, she is a gentle, thoughtful teacher and her students love music.

Sarah is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music where she completed her Suzuki Pegagogy certificate.

Sarah says, "I specialize in teaching the Suzuki Cello Method and I believe in a wholistic approach to learning the cello, a solid introduction to ear training, theory, and reading. I also find it crucial for a learner (particularly children) to have social experiences with the cello, so group classes will be offered. I truly love teaching and always look forward to each lesson or class as a new experience for everyone, including me!"
