Program

With our limited enrollment, the jazz intensive gives each participant the opportunity to get the attention they deserve in a supportive and non-competitive environment.

The basic format is masterclasses in the morning and group rehearsals in the afternoon. Masterclasses are divided up into horns, rhythm section instruments, and voice. The choice of music depends on who signs up and what your interest is. Let us know what you like to play. And there are opportunities for all instruments.

Honors Orchestra

The Summer Jazz Intensive is age-friendly and we welcome experienced players. In recogition that there are many active players who would welcome the opportunity to work with our stellar faculty, the top players of the week are invited to join the faculty on-stage at the Thursday evening Benefit Concert.
